[Someone's bored, evidently. Or perhaps just at his wit's end.]

So I thought I might as well pose the question.

How does one get an intelligent but warlike species that can't communicate and doesn't seem interested in anything but attacking people to calm down?

[A city's worth of enemies does present some logistical problems...]

Then the Jane Goodall thing, find a way to gain their trust and study them. Even wild animals have rules guiding their behaviors, so if that's all the Uvi are we should be able to take advantage of that.

If they're smart enough to be wary of us after only a few encounters, we'd have to either be patient or figure out a peace offering. Food, maybe, but without hurting the Palai.

Wild animals don't typically keep slaves, and you guys seem convinced they're not smart enough to treat like people.
