[ The weary or the wicked, at least. But more work indeed, but he can't help but wonder why he was brought here -- not when he was just about to witness a newfound resolve in his charges' determination. But he chooses not to ask about her task. It doesn't do to be nosy, after all.

For now, he takes a cue from the witch's words. Some of these kids are going to need some guidance, yes. ]


Hopefully no one has arrived with the ability to cause mass destruction. I'm sure it would be a handful, even for one as experienced as you.

Though if I may ask: all of us seem to have arrived with an ability of some sort. Is that true for you as well?
