voice; open to everyone
OH, SHIT, CAESAR-- [ The voice sounds panicked since he is accesses the telepathy first to get obviously Caesar's attention before -- ] FUCK -- shit -- rocks! Ah! That hur-- ow! How long is -- goddamn hill! Ack! Ow-ow-ow-- shitfuckass!
...Oof.
[ Long pause, muffled. ] I tripped.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
...Oof.
[ Long pause, muffled. ] I tripped.

but that doesn't prove anything. a man has the same birthmark as he does and a stand as well. all stand users are drawn to each other, and this is a fact - so why does it matter if he had the same mark?
facts. stick to facts. giorno grits his teeth. he remembers the coliseum, still. not too long ago he had promised narancia he would bring him home. and he'd seen buccellati ascend like in those paintings in sistine chapel.
he doesn't really believe in fate; but inevitability is -
("i've got to tell my friends back in japan - !")
he can't breathe. ]
Is that mark really so valuable?
[ facts. stick to facts. ]
no subject
[Not Jotaro, but yes.] My friend had it, as did his grandfather before him, and, apparently, if what this Jotaro says is true, his daughter as well as his grandson has it. Why?
no subject
all i need to know is whether or not you know dio brando. but given what i've heard, how can i trust any of you? you have some power beyond stands, and yet you are part of our world. okuyasu and jotaro have stands. what am i supposed to make out of this - " ]
It's just curious.
I know a very important man who has the same mark. [ a pause. ] But he died in Egypt.
no subject
That man was a curse on the Joestar family and nearly killed my mother.
no subject
Then we need to talk, because he's important to me.
Who are you to him ....? To - [ let's face it. there's no avoiding it now. THERE'S NO QUITTING THIS RIDE. ] Dio Brando.
no subject
[ That's the name of the man who put that fleshbud in his father's head. He's the one who turned his father into a monster. No, his father was already a monster, but -- ]
What are you to DIO?!
no subject
- this is too much. You realize you're still on a hill?
[ not for the first time in his life giorno wonders why his mother never paid attention to the fact that she may or may not be banging a very handsome monster. giorno sighs. he feels so tired. so tired. and it hasn't even been a month. ]
We all need to meet.
no subject
[ Yes, he does. ]
I ain't gonna just sit ... well, lie here... while all this is going off!
no subject
You will. What's the point of asking you to do anything else otherwise.
Wait for Caesar. Or Jotaro. They will come and get you, and - [ and then what? ] Then we'll talk.
no subject
Fine! But I don't like this. I don't like all of this. I like some of it. But the rest of it is so damn confusing! I get it. I do get it. I mean, it isn't confusing! You know! Right! We're all gonna talk!
no subject
[Yup, definitely winning friends and influencing people with that one.]
no subject
no. it doesn't explain anything. even if he is shaking and pale. how could he be born if he were dead?
( i have dreams, he reminds himself. i have dreams and a name that is entirely my own. ) ]
I see.
But that makes no sense regardless. You and I both know that he has the mark. And if what Caesar says is correct, then that means he's also part of the family.
no subject
[Because yeah, he's aired enough of the family drama publicly for one day, and the whole Dio thing is where shit gets really weird.]
no subject
I'll see you later, Kujo Jotaro.
no subject
no subject
If what Jotaro is saying is true, you wouldn't want to be my family.
Don't forget what I told you of Naples.
no subject
[Mgr.]

and jotaro. jotaro, who killed him. and caesar, who apparently died trying to secure his friend's future. he would've done the same. what does blood mean to him? except - ]
Caesar.
We cannot allow these conversations to continue. [ a pause. ] Not like this.
Jotaro and I will be a problem. We all have to meet. [ a pause, longer and well into its third trimester. ] We owe it to the dead and the living.
no subject
I'll bring in Okuyasu, find...someone, I don't know who, but there must be someone who can heal him. And then we can talk about where.
no subject
.... since Jotaro's family is the cause, ask him if he knows someone else from his world who's been brought here.
As far as I know - I came alone. [ a hollow laugh. ] For all the reassurance that will be to anyone.
no subject
I'll figure out something.
no subject
he did not expect it to come this soon.
he says nothing to caesar after. he cannot bring to say any of that to him, knowing what little he does of his fate from these hurried conversations; which are quickly leading to heated confrontations.
in any case he does not have a stand. and he's met jotaro. he did not need a stand to make his anger felt. okuyasu was also the same, though not as sharp as jotaro. he can handle okuyasu. he's predictable. jotaro, he doesn't know as well. and he killed his father. he doesn't know how he's going keep a hold of his emotions once he sees him; the same can probably be said of jotaro.
therefore, logic tells him that it is in his best interests to have caesar remain on his side, or at least even slightly sympathetic of his situation, even if it's not by his choice. an appeal to common bonds is a cheap trick, and at the end of the day caesar may not even agree to being used the way that giorno thinks of him, but a modicum of peace has to be preserved if all of them intend on being heard on their terms. and it's not like giorno likes his options.
his hand touches the mark on the back of his neck. luck, or a curse? he's not of their blood, he's at least certain of that. he belongs to passione; is passione. joestar or not, giorno knows who he is.
in the end, the only thing he says to him is, ]
Time and place. Let me know, and I'll come.
