( Knowing there will soon be an attack on Aimintas, Emil made it a point to try and get the telepathic attention of the only friend he had from back home to make sure he was alright. After no response and a sharp pain in his signet, he'd set off to try and find Lalli, only to locate his comatose body in the deserted city.

It's not that he hasn't seen this before being that Lalli has Finnish Magic Weirdness running through his veins, but the fact that he knows there's apparently about to be some kind of attack later on in the day...Lalli please wake up, my man.

Things Emil has done to try and wake his friend up:

smooshing his face

holding his nose

slapping his face

shaking him gently

shaking him vigerously

yelling at him

trying to feed him fish

trying to feed him a bath bomb

Things that have worked:

none of the above

If he could have at the time, he probably would have asked more questions about Lalli's previous weird magic coma -- or maybe this is totally something different. Either way, Emil is panicking a little bit and he can already feel the heat of his magic going through his body. maybe being on fire will wake Lalli up )

Uhm...! ( His voice is shaky as it loudly broadcasts to the rest of the coven. Back home no one particularly gave a shit about Lalli being in a coma, but maybe someone here has more compassion. ) Can someone help me wake up my friend!?

( He knows you wanted to sleep bud, but now isn't exactly the time. )

( Well, he can set something on fire pretty easily....but that sounds kind of dangerous considering he doesn't know how far away something to put out the fire might be. )

Are you sure that will work? Isn't that kind of risky? ( He's not used to talking like this about his beloved fire, sorry my love. )

It's a possible solution, but if you rather not risk burning the flesh of your friend... I suggest finding another object that contains a strong scent. The Palai could sell a strong spice that even the smell will give you a reaction.

[The Palai could have something in that market of theirs...]

( Oh, okay...good idea. Emil is of two minds -- he doesn't want to be gone too long, but something with strong smells might be a-ways away.

In his frantic search, he finds a few food items and a rather smelly, small trash can (that he doesn't want to touch or keep in his room; the things he does for friendship).
He may accidentally send over small snippets of his thought process.

Eventually, Emil reports back on his progress after waving around some cooked shrimp, cut fruit and the trashcan in front of Lalli's face. he had to smell that trash for no reason, god damn it )

None of that did anything. This is impossible.

[Oh my god it's like Lalli is the Ban of sleeping. But now Eva is getting more worried.]

Is he truly asleep or is he locked into a comatose? If he cannot wake up in time for our approaching attack, find and stay in the most secure location with him.

( Lalli is a champion napper, but also a champion waker-upper so he's being a really big failure right now. )

I...don't know? How do you tell the difference? ( Is it the waking up part? He doesn't really know about comas and what all that entails. )

Comatose is loss of complete consciousness while sleep has alternating consciousness. Even a heavy sleeper could wake up with enough effort, but when one is in comatose, nothing can be done for them except waiting for them to awake on their own.

[So yeah, this is a complete "god dammit Lalli" situation.]

Did he have any injuries recently?

( God dammit Lalli. )

I don't know. He's constantly running or crawling under something -- his eyes were bleeding when I found him.

( Pretty metal, tbh...or it would be if it wasn't like a little bitty dab of blood near his eyes and nose and in his ears, but any blood in those places is no good in Emil's book. )

[DUDE... Okay crying tears of blood is sorta cool in Eva's book from an aesthetic standpoint but DUDE...]

Are they still bleeding? Do his eyes show signs of damage?

No, I got rid of it. Let me see, though.

( Emil takes the time to try and pry Lalli's eyeballs open. Nothing seems to be present, minus some blood crust he couldn't quite get to, and glassy blue eyes that can't focus even when they do roll to where he can see the irises. )

There's a bit more blood, but nothing looks wrong with them? No debirs or anything.
