The only way I'm going down Just or Heroic is if an Uvi gets the drop on me with a puppet in the shape of a horse dick. I'll be careful of any plush-armed fish people.

The rules on it are pretty interesting in their lack of clarity. For example, a heroic act can be considered one that prioritizes another's life over one's own. But is it heroic to assume you won't die by, for example, eating a mysterious berry to test it for poison because you're the only immortal in the group? Is it heroic because you're putting yourself on the line, or is it completely unheroic because you're assuming that there won't be any real cost for yourself?

It's basically impossible to know until you try it.
