It occurs to me that if we're to be spending more time here, it would help to have a map of sorts. I don't suppose anyone here is a cartographer--?

That doesn't seem terribly likely, but I thought I'd ask.

At any rate, I thought we might try mapping the "coastline," for a start. A small group primarily composed of combatants would be best for that. Is anyone interested? You can find me in the purple shack farthest from the mansion, if you'd like to discuss this in person. Ask for Jay.

Oh, and if you've already gone off exploring on your own--as I'm sure many of you have--I'd be interested to know what you've found. Send me a message?

I'm in. [Jay seems solid and level, and he wants a better sense of this place. His shades can probably map things out as they travel—they are helpful like that—but there is a distinct issue in that he can't print things out.]

[He sounds pleased, at least.]

I won't ask if you can fight. I assume that sword's not just for show.

Nah, I'm a helpless innocent. The sword is just for scaring off the easily tricked.

[Yeah he'll be fine.]

I see. Well, at least you'll have your wits about you.

I'll do it. [He's mainly there to gather information. He'de have a bit of a leg up on the competition that way.] "I won't be able to help with the actual act of cartography, but if you need someone to try and uncover whatever secrets are lurking around, well... I consider that to be something of a specialty of mine."

[Along with keeping them. Or really, just manipulating information in general, whether from secrecy or into it.]

[Well, he was more just naturally an incredibly perceptive person in a situation where being observant enough and intelligent enough, while not directly useful skills, carried an unspoken of, but nonetheless important advantage.]

"Is that what you think? It'll be interesting to see whether the reality matches up with your impressions, won't it?"

[He doesn't say it dismissively; rather, he sounds a little like a kid who's gotten a new toy and is excited to play with it.]

[He chuckles slightly, himself seeming to be bemused by all this.]
