Exactly! Charging most objects with energy enough to give life to a golem gives them a very disadvantageous glow.

The glow of earth aether is yellow. The heart of a golem looks as if veined in gold. Rather pretty once you get past one trying to punch your teeth out.

Indulge my curiosity then, if you would: What did you do for a living before our dear hostess decided to borrow us for a while?

[ A living? ] I didn't have a living. That is... I was a high-school student. Though, I did win a lot of money! But, that was all put into savings so it isn't really anything that I used.

That'll be a nice little nest egg. You take good care of it! I myself have a bit of fortune back home, but I can't for the life of me work out what I want to do with it.

Dancing is quite profitable. As much as adventuring, really. Who knew?

I suppose everyone likes to see something amazing and if you make that much money, ya must be real good. As for what to spend it on... If ya don't got bills and all that... How about on eating delicious Italian food for every meal?

[Weird. She keeps hearing that folks have had things taken from them before arriving here, but she doesn't recall anything on her end. She just wound up here. What did she pay, if anything...?]

Italian... hmm. That must be a kingdom in your world. What kind of food is it? I dabble in cooking as a hobby, and now you've set me off! I could talk about food for hours, you know!

No. Not a kingdom. It is a country. Though, is that kind of the same thing in different places? Maybe. I am not sure.

[ But anyway! ] What kind of food? It is really good! Really good. There is uh, tomato and cheese for one dish, and really spicy spaghetti ... I normally don't like spicy food but that food was so good! And, and ... other dishes and flan.

I absolutely love that food and I wouldn't mind talking about it for hours.

[Tomato, cheese, pasta, some spices... oh!]

That reminds me of food from a city I know, Limsa Lominsa! They incorporate a lot of seafood as they live right on the water, but much of what they cook involves warm, savory flavors just so with just that kiss of elegance! My, my, Okuyasu darling, you must have a refined palate.

Do you cook?

Yeah, yeah. When I eat Italian food, I feel ... It is so good. It warms everything inside of ya. It has that kind of comforting feeling like the kind you would get spending an entire day out with friends! That kind of feeling but in a bite!

[ Ha-ha! ] Thank you! I am grateful to Tonio for showing me it. Even a hardcore punk like myself can appreciate such food.

Really? Ya'd actually cook for me? Well, yer just sayin' maybe... but I wouldn't mind. Who would turn down free food? But also a lady with such a nice voice and involved in lots of uh, soft things has to have like a soft flavor to her cooking. I think! So that'd be nice to see!

Something you'll learn of the women of my kind is that we're just as happy to offer a punch to the face in greeting as a meat bun to a new friend or comrade. Sometimes both!
