[So. This is a Problem. Yusuke'd heard that there were vines to be found in the western part of the island and that a few people were gathering them because you can never have enough rope, and he wants to be helpful so he thought maybe he could do the same!

And then he got a little lost. But he found his way to the vines eventually!

And then he, like the easily distracted by art boy he is, got distracted and started toying with a few of the vines in an attempt to see if he could do anything with them other than use them as rope.

And now he's in trouble. Thank God for telepathy?]

If-if anyone can hear me, I've found myself in a...situation!

They're not usually harmless green vines, if they're poisonous.

Except these green vines weren't harmless. Lots of the plants look like regular berries, so I don't really know what you think is supposed to make something harmless or not...

Who eats random berries in the woods, though? Countless stories tell us that's a terrible idea. Nothing tells us to be wary of vines.

A lot of people are really stupid.

[He's probably had to stop Emil from walking over to berries at random, tbh.]

And a lot of stories say not to go by yourself into strange woods. Usually monsters are in those.

I'm hardly the first person to come out this way for the vines, though. If there were danger, we'd have heard.

[Yusuke does, actually calling out "yelling" because it works, okay. Sure enough, it's off to the side and just a bit further back than Lalli is right now.]

Whatever. This is easy enough to track, even if he thinks Yusuke is even more ridiculously stupid than he thought before. What a world...

Soon enough, a stick is standing a few feet away with a knife in one hand while the other rests on the strap of a rifle. This sure is a guy wrapped up in vines.]

[Oh right, he should actually start cutting these things.]

[He can't wave, but he can incline his head a bit.]

[A vague hum is Yusuke's only response as Lalli makes calculated cuts and moves out of the way of curious vines going after his ankles. He's confident he could free himself, but... Eh. Why waste the time? He doesn't give a warning before slashing away a particularly strong vine that was doing its best to keep Yusuke upright. Whoops.]

Be careful.

[lalli you're the one causing trouble now]

[Yusuke falls and faceplants in the dirt. The rest of the vines fall away.]

You could have--ugh--warned me before cutting that vine. But thank you.
