Um, I guess everyone should be up-to-date on the whole preparation thing, right? Genette and Brie should've given everyone or most of us the list of stuff to prepare on taking back to our "hideout". For those who are new and have no idea about our "hideout" being, I'll be more than happy to explain more about it! I'm here to give you guys some advice: whenever it comes to these "shopping lists", pay close attention to them and prepare as best as you can! You will need them.

It's a sign that our time in this world is ending. A world that, for all of our issues and rifts between us, is a bountiful one filled with many treasures and luxuries compare to our hideout, which is usually where we end up between our travels to other worlds, does not exist.

I implore you to prepare! Really prepare. Like, really well!

But other than that, I'm here to add one more important detail to think about: it's the survival coven program! Um, name is still undecided! It's a system Jay and I implemented to help everyone gain new skills, offer lessons, and work together as a group to basically help those who cannot gather food or other essentials to never go hungry or be empty-handed!

If you wanna sign up, let me know! If you're undecided, you have until we return back to our base to make any type of decision. Complete silence is an acceptable rejection.

[Was there more to be said? She wanted to cover her bases. Oh, right!]

Ah, one more thing! If you wanna save credits on bags to carry stuff on, I suggest this quick tutorial over using your pants to do the trick!

Anyway, that's all for now, and if you have any questions or concerns, let us all know! I promise we're all here to help!

(OOC: If you want your character to join on this without threading anything up, then please use this for sign ups).

Hey guys, 9S here.

Recent events got me thinking we should have some provisions in place, in case of future attempts to abduct or imprison anybody. Units like 2B, A2, and me have black box signals we could detect, but as for you guys... I've come up with some tracking modules that you can activate in case you get in a tough spot. They just look like little round pins with stars on them, figure nobody'll give them a second look.

They're easy to activate and deactivate. All you do is press on the raised star shape for five seconds. Simple, right? They'll derive energy from your body heat, and don't need direct contact, so I think it'll work. I'd like to enable at least a few people to detect those signals, but you'll need equipment like my goggles or Dirk's uh, shades. So let me know if you're interested.

Also while we've got access to materials, if anybody has equipment or repair needs, just give me the details.

Private: Dirk
Hey, can I ask your help with something? It's...not really a small favor, but I think you're the most capable.

Private: Julius
There's something I'd like to ask you about, when you've got the time.

Private: 2B + A2
After recent events, I think we should make plans in case we sustain heavy or lethal damage. Can we talk about that?

[So. This is a Problem. Yusuke'd heard that there were vines to be found in the western part of the island and that a few people were gathering them because you can never have enough rope, and he wants to be helpful so he thought maybe he could do the same!

And then he got a little lost. But he found his way to the vines eventually!

And then he, like the easily distracted by art boy he is, got distracted and started toying with a few of the vines in an attempt to see if he could do anything with them other than use them as rope.

And now he's in trouble. Thank God for telepathy?]

If-if anyone can hear me, I've found myself in a...situation!

( Let's not discuss the details of how...this...happened too much. It's not like Cinnabar to be clumsy or careless, but somehow that's what has lead him from Point A to Point D -- D is for Disaster.

He hit a few choice rocks pretty hard, and now he's got one of his arms in his hand. The loss of a limb has left him pretty dazed and confused with a chunk of his memories gone. Otherwise, he might have the forethought to ask for glue or something. Not for help since he certainly wouldn't need it! But the jumbled space where his memories should be is what leads to the simple, accidental telepathic message: )

Oh. My arm came off.

( That's, uh...pretty concerning if you don't know he's a red rock person thing. )

[Today you feel a few strange pulses in your signets before you hear anything over Qri's network. It's fairly pleasant, exactly as the signet communications tend to be, and fortunately doesn't at all resemble the strange fluctuations that plagued everyone back on days 103-105. It's more like someone poking at the network to be sure it's stable and not going to do any more of that before they speak. They seem to conclude it's safe after all.]

Hello? Oh, hi-- hi, everybody. It's Geir. If you don't know me, I'm the dragon.

[He's very matter of fact about it. He's the dragon. You're probably aware, his tone seems to say.]

Listen, I don't actually care if you know me, you should just help me and Nines out! He knows all kinds of technology things, so I asked him what we could find out about the Hub with them. But the question is really, what does everyone want to find out? There's been a lot of weird to chew on!

Chew...on? [9S echoes this thought quizzically, for an instant quite distracted. But right, right, the matter at handโ€”] Er, anyway, like Geir said weโ€™re lacking data on our surroundings. And to know what weโ€™re dealing with, gathering more would be best, so I was thinking I can probably scrape enough parts together to build a pod for that job, once we know what kind of information it should collect. I mean, unless we want everything...

[Geir's tone is still bright and interested. he loves hearing about this, even if part of him is still skeptical.]

Nines isn't even the only person who knows how to build... robots. I know a bunch of you build stuff. Who wants to help?

[9S clears his throat, quietly tacking a little disclaimer on:]

...Not that pods should be mistaken for machines or anything.

[When your kindโ€™s fought machines for millennia certain lines get drawn. Thin, confusing grey lines. (Geir doesnโ€™t know what to say to that, so he just lets it stand.)]

((both 9S and Geir may reply to your toplevels, and also feel free to jump each other! this is the start of a player plot to get a little more technology on the island. ♥ more details here!))

Okay, letโ€™s begin! This is an important message out for everyone to hear. Please listen up! This could be a good way to practice this new way of communication for those not used to it yet!

[Speaks up the resident ex-telepath and environmental sensor of her world. She has been listening to a lot of the new voices in the area. No worries she has been ignoring those revealing secrets or daydreams or what have you.]

My name is Nike. Iโ€™ve been in this adventure to other worlds for a good while now. I bet thereโ€™s a lot of questions and concerns many of you have. The whole thing can be pretty bewildering for those not used to world-hopping or living in areas that arenโ€™t as natural as this one. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re gonna try to help everyone as best as we can. Like securing everyoneโ€™s next meals since, well, we canโ€™t expect our hosts to always feed us or to ration the food stuff they first give to you since itโ€™s difficult to determine how long weโ€™ll be here for. Um, I think our resident leader is here too. Actually, heโ€™s next to me right now. Do you wanna take the reins?

[There is a choking noise at 'resident leader'. Jay recovers quickly enough, though. No promises about not listening to your revealing secrets.]

Right. I've talked to a few of you about this already, but what we'd like to do is set up groups for hunting, fishing, and scavenging or gathering. We're looking for people who have experience with those skills and are willing to teach them to others--or people who want to learn from their fellow coven members. Those of you with particular expertise may be asked to lead a group.

Thatโ€™s right! This is all a volunteer service as well. We know not everyone is cut out to be a teacher or leader, so weโ€™re asking for those with these skills to speak up to help form a group to specialize in these specific areas. The more people we have, the easier itโ€™ll be to gather enough food for everyone in the coven. We understand there are those that donโ€™t have any survival skills and many of you are new -- we want to help you to better adjust to your situation before having you join or do anything. Our goal is basically to help everyone remain healthy.

[While helping create a sense of unity which all is pretty much hinted.]

Also, we kinda want to figure out the current population of our members are too. Gotta know the size to figure out what would be a fair amount of resources to gather and share. Jay is in charge of that area. Since heโ€™s been doing that stuff from the very beginning. Let him know if you donโ€™t have any survival skills and/or if thereโ€™s an area you wish to learn. All those with any of the survival skills weโ€™ve already mentioned that would like to volunteer, let me know! From there weโ€™ll try to organize all of the data and have the group leaders give out the rest of the details.

[What else should she add before signing off?]

Oh, yeah, if you have any questions, then let us know here. Thanks!

(OOC: If you want your character to join on this without threading anything up, then please use this for sign ups.)

Hey guys, can you hear me?

[YoRHa unit 9S, forever uncertain as to whether he's thinking at people properly]

I just wanted to let you know that 2B and I are doing renovations on that old house on the western side of the island. At the moment there's no water or electricity so it's probably not the most hospitable for humans...

But once it's in working order, this'll give us an outpost in this area.

Also we were discussing some hands-free lights for working in the dark. Devices like that would come in handy, right? Are there any other types of equipment you could use? Seems like during our downtime, that's something to work on. Maybe we can also establish what resources we've got at our disposal, too. We're a team and all, right?

[Now that they're not dealing with invading hostiles, it seems to him it's time to put his technical skills to work]

[ooc: Feel free to thread-hop/jack, let's get geared up]

Hello everyone! I hope that all of the new members are adjusting well and getting a hold on their magic. As you were informed earlier, we'll be leaving soon! Isn't it exciting? We'll be returning to the hub in a few days -- oh, many of you newer additions have never been. Feel free to ask questions about what it looks like and the living situation.

I'm mostly sending this little mental message to ask how everyone is doing with regards to collecting those magical bones Qri is asking for. I have about 30 that I have saved, and I'll pack them in with our things before we leave. Feel free to give yours to me and I'll keep them together for safe keeping.

Also, I'm always available if you need healing or to ask questions...to talk even!

Oh. This is Genette, by the way. Sorry, I should have mentioned that earlier!

[This is a very shy voice you're getting.]

Um, hello? Ah, um, pardon my interloping in your thoughts here but, ummm... I believe we've found the source of that frightful cloudburst we've been having. It appears those ornery blue fiends are causing quite the brouhaha from their literal cooler. They seem a mite bit peeved.

[A beat.]

I, um— I don't have any suggestions, I just— I thought everyone should know.

[Another pause.]

Sooo... that's all.

[ooc: for anyone interested in exploring this with jake in a (backdated to before this post!) top level, here you go!]

[This telepathic message is not signed, and appears in your field of vision without preamble, although the rhythm of the words is slow, almost sullen.]

Hey.

What power did they give you?

Did you have magic before you came here?
