[ unfortunately, this wholly accidental broadcast of thoughts isn't a very pleasant one. around midday, while the interrogations are still taking place, the sounds of a young girl's sobs are transmitted through the signet's telepathy. those who have interacted with ruby are likely to recognize her voice, but you don't need to know that much to understand that something bad has happened. ]

[ the apology is repeated intermittently between her sobs. she doesn't seem to be very consolable... with what's been going on today, it might be obvious as to what she's talking about. for roommates, the door to the room that she's being interrogated in bursts open as her outward sobs can be heard, but only the monitor seems to be visibly there.  ]

[ of course, jun's going to try and not give any indication he's truly heard her thoughts to the monitor. his attempt at calming her down is also somewhat stilted, partly due to that fact. ]

while she had phased into view for a moment, she's back to being invisible while her sobs echo through the room. ]

[ her sobs aren't as loud now, but they're still plenty audible. she knows that she messed up, and there's going to be consequences. ]

Everyone will be in danger... Won't they?

That's a bit of a leap. So far the people here haven't been looking to harm us, right? We might be in trouble, but it also might not be as bad as you think.

[ Honestly Jun would be expecting back-up swat teams and the like if they were really in such a predicament. Besides, that isn't how the people and law enforcement here seems to operate. ]

Mm, no. Since we've become a small part of the community too... I bet they'll try to manage it like how they tried to keep the explosion at the festival quiet, except we haven't tried to hurt anyone with magic as far as I know, so... that's a plus.

[ Then, after realizing he was mostly talking himself through the likelihood of danger, he nods at Ruby meaningfully. ]

Likely they'll just try and keep this all contained. That's all.

[ a lot of that... actually makes sense. it helps her calm down some, but she's still pretty scared about what might come about from this. ]

But being contained... What does that mean?

Monitoring us more closely, possibly trying to jail us if there's an obvious use of magic... I imagine they're not against small displays, or helpful ones if they haven't bothered us until now.

[ while she appreciates jun doing his rubesty, the idea of "jailed due to magic" terrifies her. what if she can't control herself again? SHE'S TOO SMALL FOR PRISON ]
