[yeah, this hasn't really been the greatest of weeks for Madoka, and the way the entire city is cloaked and flowers and thoughts for things lost is probably only fitting.]

[she could use a good distraction right now — and she figures that after the lockdown and whatever else they may be going through, maybe someone else might like one, too. so, at some point in the evening, she sends out what is hopefully not a too intrusive brain text:]

Hi. What's your favorite thing from back home? I'd like to try to draw it for you.

Or, we could just talk about it, if you prefer.

Hmm. So, if you wanted to figure out which one of those is your favorite, then...

For food, at least, if you were only allowed to eat one of those for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?

[Gosh, he has no idea... It doesn't help that his experience with food is extremely limited.]

...have you heard of something called a corndog? it has nothing to do with dogs.

I don't think so! What's a corn dog? Is it an American food?

I have no idea where it comes from I just had it here, but it is like a sausage on a stick covered in cornbread.

That does sound good! I had a hot dog at a baseball game once, but I don't know how similar it is.

So you'd say that corn dogs could be your favorite food?

no but I think I wouldn't get sick from eating it all the time because it's meat and bread and not stew.
