telepathy to all

I need everyone who is down for a rescue mission to say what they can do in terms of wrecking shit and/or support skills, and any strategies they have for getting in. We do not need to be stalling on this. Peach is in the goddamned castle and Bowser has not been demonstrably a nice guy, so let's get the fucking hat on and move.

Skills, strategies, plans. Let's get them out and get going.

I...yes. That's one potential application, if we wanted a body count.

You don't think they're asking for it?

I'm pretty sure killing people will make all of problems worse!
insubordination: (054.)

lmao omfg.

[personal profile] insubordination 2018-01-25 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't need to kill anyone to be useful.

[ VELVET NO but also velvet yes ]

Clouding someone's vision may be essential, especially if they use firearms.
allconsumed: (♦ some days)

[It's fine. It's fine! It's fine.]

I'm not saying it won't be useful. Besides, even if he doesn't have a stomach for killing, we can count on him to be stupidly stubborn in the face of danger.
insubordination: (69.)

[personal profile] insubordination 2018-01-25 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
We need people in this world who have no stomach for killing.

[ not everyone can be a soldier, and that's exactly how the world should be. ]

He'll do just fine.
allconsumed: (♦ you could feel it from inside)

I won't argue with that, either. There are other people that he can leave the rough stuff to.

[People plus androids, and daemons, etc. She does want him to stay safe, despite the sass.]
insubordination: (011.)

Indeed.

[ and, speaking of: ]

Ready to ready your team of fighters, Velvet?
allconsumed: (♦ then he walked up)

[personal profile] allconsumed 2018-01-26 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Ready or not, we're going to see what they're all made of.

I'm almost just as curious to see how the city will react.
insubordination: (072.)

[personal profile] insubordination 2018-01-28 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm willing to hazard a bet that they won't be happy.

[ the backlash will likely be swift, and they'll be removed from the city immediately. roy doesn't really seem to mind the thought. ]

At any rate, we'll have a pleasant tour of the outside of the city on our way out.
allconsumed: (♦ then everyone commenced to do)

[personal profile] allconsumed 2018-02-01 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
[If it comes to that, Velvet won't exactly miss this place much, either.]

You think that's the worst that will happen? I have a hunch they didn't capture members of the coven just to punish us for breaking their stupid rules. There's probably something else that they want out of it.
insubordination: (054.)

private.

[personal profile] insubordination 2018-02-01 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
The worst that will happen is that we'll be executed, but I don't see the need of spelling that out in front of a group of watching children.

[ again, mildly enough, but roy isn't stupid. the risks are large, but he won't be leaving riza and the others trapped in there forever. ]

But being removed from the city would, obviously, be the best case scenario.

[personal profile] allconsumed 2018-02-01 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
There are going to be children directly involved. I'd argue that they should understand all of the potential consequences, but if you don't want to get into it, then fine. It definitely wouldn't be good for morale.

[personal profile] insubordination 2018-02-02 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a way to tell children the potential consequences without scaring the hell out of them.

[ there's a pause. ]

I have at least a semblance of hope that the children involved are at, bare minimum, capable, but that's probably hoping for too much.

Most of them aren't idiots, from what I can tell.

[Yeah, maybe wishful thinking? The sound of her long sigh carries over to him.]

I doubt it would go over well, but if you're that worried, then tell them all to stay out of it.

Calm down.

[ LORD YOU ARE A LOT KID ]

There are no merits to taking a life. It's not something to be joked about or taken lightly. You'll do what you need to do, and nothing more or less. You're not going to kill anyone.

Well, you're actively participating now.

Your gift will be useful, especially in covering the people who need to fight. Just keep your head down and protect yourself, first and foremost, and you'll be fine.

[ there's a slight pause. ]

Taking a human life is the most serious burden a man can bear, and it's not one that can ever be removed. There's no shame in wanting to avoid that. It's a good quality to have.

The world should have more professors in it.

Waver's far too young to have gotten to that point yet.]

Only decent professors. I've had some bad ones in my time.
