Hey guys, 9S here.

Recent events got me thinking we should have some provisions in place, in case of future attempts to abduct or imprison anybody. Units like 2B, A2, and me have black box signals we could detect, but as for you guys... I've come up with some tracking modules that you can activate in case you get in a tough spot. They just look like little round pins with stars on them, figure nobody'll give them a second look.

They're easy to activate and deactivate. All you do is press on the raised star shape for five seconds. Simple, right? They'll derive energy from your body heat, and don't need direct contact, so I think it'll work. I'd like to enable at least a few people to detect those signals, but you'll need equipment like my goggles or Dirk's uh, shades. So let me know if you're interested.

Also while we've got access to materials, if anybody has equipment or repair needs, just give me the details.

[9S is right in his estimate, just about. He arrives a little earlier, if only because he takes a less conventional route.

There's a distinct possibility that she may see a figure in black hopping down from a rooftop. The resulting thump gives away his weight, more than twice what a boy his size should weigh, were he human.

He dusts himself off and glances around]

Her eyebrow's raised as she tracks him just before he jumps down, and then the other raises when he lands. Right, he's one of the super robot people.

She quietly raises a hand in greeting. ]

[He probably should have asked what she looked like, not that he sees anyone else around.

But the wave's a good indicator, so he waves back and approaches]

Oh, you don't have to thank me. But if you press on the star, I'll show you what it does.

[He wastes no time in lifting a hand and poking the open air between them. A holographic screen springs into visibility between them, displaying a strange sort of map]

[And lo, in one of those darkened boxes onscreen appears a red light]

[With a cheerful smile, he points at the spot]

If you hold the button down again, it'll stop sending a signal. So you're only giving your location when you want to.

[Or at least, that's the way it's designed]

You don't seem like you'd have any reason to be able to secretly turn it on whenever you want but... well, you probably know what everyone would do anyways.

I could if I wanted, but I could do the same with most anything electronic. Doesn't mean I would though. Units like me are used to our locations being known, but humans are different.
