[SUP KIDS IT’S TELEPATHY. The telepathy is a monotonous voice, possibly familiar, possibly not. But he has a specific group of people in mind.]

Okay, so it’s showtime on blue fish person invasion in less than twenty-four hours. Those of you who went to the earlier meeting know the plan and can check in with me or Jay to clarify anything. This message is for the new group of people that Qri decided to summon only two days before a predicted attack, in a tactical move so genius it remains obscure even now. Plus for anyone who missed the last memo.

The Uvi are blue fish people from the ocean above. They’re going to attack and either abduct or kill our cool lizard bros the Palai. The Palai plan on hiding and don’t expect to get anywhere with this, but we’re going to be setting out lookouts to spot the Uvi coming in and ground teams to engage with the enemy and defend the Palai. Then we plan to send a recon team to pursue them back to their base.

Me and Jay [a brief telepathic image of them both for your identifying pleasure] are going to be in the coven house finalizing things today. We're there if you want a position or need more info.

It looks like there are a lot of people offering themselves up to join the fight, so if necessary — I'm a licensed doctor, with both textbook knowledge on first aid and healing magic. I'm fully prepared to help with anything on that end.

We absolutely need more healers. How mobile are you?

Well, I'm pretty fast on my feet, so as long as I'm in the right place at the right time, it shouldn't be an issue getting to anyone in need of help as quickly and efficiently as possible. I'll be on the lookout!

I don't know what it is, but lately, it seems like my healing artes are stronger than usual, too. In most cases, they work much faster than traditional medicine would.

It could be the level of magic in this world. Genette said that had something to do with our access to magic.

It's a good thing we're here of all places, then. I mean, no, it's not a good thing and this is a terrible situation, but —

[ jude sighs to himself. ]

[ his curious nature means he has to refrain from prying and asking whether he's been in this sort of situation before. an enemy attack on this large a scale. fortunately, he's able to stifle that urge, or so he thinks. it may or may not leak through. ]

[The flicker of it comes through, but it's difficult to give an answer. He's used to enemies, he's used to attacks, but not this. All he has is history books. Jay, at least, was able to guide them, and together they brainstormed ideas.

That's what he ended up settling on.]

It isn't a really big deal. Jay has a strategic mind, and the rest of the Coven helped.
