So I thought I might as well pose the question.

How does one get an intelligent but warlike species that can't communicate and doesn't seem interested in anything but attacking people to calm down?

There's at least two hundred of them; even with the range of abilities we have here, I don't think we'd be able to do that. Unless we tricked them somehow, I suppose.

Two hundred... If we use gas or explosives, then... Reducing their numbers will make it easier to defend against the raids.

[He's still thinking in terms of defense. But in a city as big as Aimintas, defending against even a handful of invaders is no easy task. Especially if they're dropping from the sky.]

What kinds of tricks do you have?

I was thinking we might lure them into an enclosed space somehow. Especially if the barrier others are talking about can be built.

9S and--Jude? I believe? were talking about working together with the Eltos to create one around the city.

I don't know them, but a barrier is a good idea if it can cover the whole city. Do we have enough magic for that?

[It makes him think of Aegis, a shield that vast for a city this big. Between the coven members and the Eltos, maybe they have enough power. For a permanent solution, hopefully.]

It would be both magical and technological, I believe. But there's only one way to find out whether it'll work.
