So I thought I might as well pose the question.

How does one get an intelligent but warlike species that can't communicate and doesn't seem interested in anything but attacking people to calm down?

As a delaying tactic, I suppose it's not any worse than freezing them in their own home. We'd just have to make sure we stayed out of the way of the drug.

Okay. Drug ethics are sort of a weird worry when the alternative is being stuck with bone spears by the other party, anyway.

Hm. I should have asked Geir to hold the one he captured a little longer, actually. I could at least have felt if and how it reacted to any particular communication or stimuli. A thought for next time they're in reach.

We could always try and capture one. They do roam the water.

If they're freed of their enclosure, then by all means we'll go hunting. Anything you wanted us to try on them in particular, in case you're not around at the time?
