So I thought I might as well pose the question.

How does one get an intelligent but warlike species that can't communicate and doesn't seem interested in anything but attacking people to calm down?

Distract them, maybe?

Though that sounds far too simple, doesn't it?

It might work as a temporary solution, if we can find something distracting enough. They're frightfully single-minded.

Tha twill be our strength. If they are single-minded....we find something new for them to be single-minded with. Right?

The question is what would be more appealing to them than the Palai.

That's a good question. Maybe something that seemingly could provoke them more than the Palai....

They kidnap Eltos more often, did you know that? The Palai that can do magic.

We can't distract them with more magic users though.

No. But it's the only clue we've got to what they actually want.

So really either way we have no idea what to do with them if they decide to come trotting back.

We've got scattered ideas, but no real plan.

I certainly can see why we only have scattered ideas.
