So I thought I might as well pose the question.

How does one get an intelligent but warlike species that can't communicate and doesn't seem interested in anything but attacking people to calm down?

I've met her. We've been working together on trying to build something large-scale for the city, but...the local technology's pretty primitive compared to what I'm used to. Plus there's magic to factor in.

I've been taking up some odd jobs in exchange for supplies, so I could see what the locals have got to work with, if that'd help.
