[Someone's bored, evidently. Or perhaps just at his wit's end.]
So I thought I might as well pose the question.
How does one get an intelligent but warlike species that can't communicate and doesn't seem interested in anything but attacking people to calm down?
- Jay, if you wanted to know.

That is not untrue. However, if everyone is taking this much effort into helping them, yet they decide their own lives are not worth fighting for, then what will we be accomplishing? The objective is not to make ourselves feel better.
[ camilla has to wonder what she's trying to accomplish by insisting this is the only possible answer. seeing corrin defy their destiny in favor of a bigger peace that exists not just beyond their two kingdoms, but for the entire realm... it should have made her at least realize that war and killing aren't the only ways to insure that which you love most is protected.
but still; camilla is a follower, not a leader, and she knows it takes more than one extraordinary individual to change an entire realm. they're not lucky like she is, who has someone strong and perfect to lead them down the correct path. just like her before she joined corrin's army, all they can do is fight. ]

[ jay reminds her a bit of corrin. were these the kinds of thoughts they had to grapple with when deciding whether to side with nohr or those (ho)shidans? ]
Even though bloodshed is an option, you seem to really want to avoid casualties on both sides. Am I wrong?

If there were some way to resolve this without fighting, that would be simplest. All-out war inevitably means casualties on our side as well as theirs, and winning isn't guaranteed.
[Just massacring all the Uvi doesn't sit right with him, either, but he doesn't mention that.]
Don't get me wrong. I'm perfectly willing to kill to defend myself.

[ it feels like she's throwing her country under the bus in a way, but camilla is quick to remind herself that nohr is a total shitshow and has no chance of not sucking if it continues on the path it's on. her faith in her brother and the future king only intensifies. ]
The attack reminds me of the kinds my country would make on our neighbors. We took prisoners as well, just like the Uvi. Our aggression came from a place of desperation and resentment. There was no reasoning with us.
The Uvi's motives are unknown, so rather than chance them doing something irreparably dreadful, I feel it might be better to destroy them at all costs. That is what I think.
[ now back to our regularly scheduled smarmy camilla. ]
That being said, is there no one other than yourself you would be willing to kill for? Maybe even die for?

I consider myself a part of this coven, if that's what you mean. I'm not about to let the people here die in front of me if I can help it.

[ camilla feels maybe 2% bad. she barely knows her fellow coven members, after all, but she's set her sights on just enough people who would fit into her bosom just right.
maybe she needs to think about this whole 'adjusting without corrin' thing some thought. (jk she'd rather swan dive into a barrel of sour cream than even consider such a thing.) ]
Having a place you feel connected with is a wonderful thing, though. With the connection you have with our coven members as motivation, I believe deep down you will come to a solution that keeps everyone safe.
