Otherwise, the coven might just get an endless stream of grass, sand or hut wall.

A pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Herr Izumi. Much like yourself, I do come from Earth... however, I've never heard of Japan. The closest place that comes to mind is a nation found in the east called Yapan.

As for me, I come from the city of Weinner [ He pronounces this as "Vainer". ] in the kingdom of Granzreich... though if my hunch is correct, neither of these places might be at all familiar to you, are they?

Is Yapan a collection of islands off the coast of a larger landmass? If so then that's pretty much the same, at least in terms of location.

Vanier. Hmm, you're right, though if I had to guess that's probably in what we'd've called Europe where I'm from. About as far west across that landmass as you can get, more or less?

It is. It's a rather small nation that had closed itself off from the rest of the world... though our king had been working on restoring diplomatic ties with them.

[ But he won't bore the boy with matters of history -- not unless he wants to, of course. ]

As for Granzreich, it's exactly as you say. Though I find it quite curious that we seem to be from worlds that seem to be similar save for names...

Hmmm, our Japan's been open for about a hundred and sixty years, so I'd say your king should be able to have some success depending on how he goes about it.

Is there a country called Northmare in your Europe, Heine?

Sort of? I have a friend back home from there. It's in northern Europe but that's really all I know.

I find it curious that apart from certain names, almost everything seems to be similar between our two worlds... not at all unpleasant but certainly unexpected.
