[OPENING] mass visual telepathy log
[Genette has provided everyone a portion of mirror, which they're free to do whatever they want to with it BUT the idea is that they introduce themselves to the telepathy network with a video feed, showcasing their face. Otherwise, the coven might just get an endless stream of grass, sand or hut wall.
If you're willing to commit to the exercise, here is your intro log for doing so! Hold up the mirror piece, introduce yourself and receive a broadcast from your fellow mages.
Because this is an open post, tag around like you would a typical log community post!]

[Lenka's a bit taken aback -- it's certainly an oddly convenient power, even if after some experimentation he's started to wonder if he'll open the fridge one of these days and something alive and not-so-friendly will pop out, or something. But by the best, she means...
Oh. There's a hesitation before he responds, reluctant to burst her bubble but feeling compelled to be honest anyway.]
Thanks, but I don't know how long the stuffed animal would last. It's something about the magic. [he doesn't entirely understand it himself, so he leaves the subject of magic aside for a moment] If you want a stuffed animal, though... maybe someone can make one?
no subject
[Madoka would probably try it.]
Ah ... That's all right. I don't want to burden anybody; I was just thinking that if there was an extra one that nobody wanted, I wouldn't mind having it.
no subject
It's something important, not to go hungry, even when the food is cold or frozen.]
It's not really a burden. I'll let you know if I find anything, that will stick. [so probably something nonmagical, maybe...? hmm] Oh. What was your power?
[Now he's kind of curious himself. Is his really that out there?]
no subject
[she pauses for a moment, reflecting on her magic. it isn't useless, certainly, it's just ... well, honestly, after the first time she used it, her attempts to try it again have only fallen flat.]
I can heal a bit. But I'm not very good at it yet.

[He starts by trying to reflexively brush it off, since it really isn't much of anything to thank him for, but really it's one of the only things that can move them forward here, or in any direction. They're all strangers, but they're all rookies, too; it's already a step up from the last time he had to work with something like this.
And also, you should see his attempts at appliance summoning in less mundane situations. Hoo boy.]
Healing, huh? Sounds complicated, but I think we're going to need it.
[You'd think a canon that shoots people to heal them would be straightforward, but bullet creation is crazy. He doesn't even know what the magical equivalent would be.]

[there's a note of concern in Madoka's voice, though.]
I'm happy that I'll be able to help everyone ... but I just hope nobody gets injured too seriously.
no subject
Anyway, Lenka can't reassure her all that well about serious injury, because he has no idea what they're expected to fight or face apart from wildlife. He's really hoping they get better briefings later.]
So we'll all practice. I don't know what's coming, but there's enough of us.
[That's one thing different from back home, where digging up more God Eaters is like squeezing blood from a stone. They barely had enough to cover the basics. The one thing that's reassuring here is numbers, for now.]
no subject
[speaking of practice.]
I did find a few books about medicine earlier. Maybe there's one that could help with, ah ... [refrigerators.]
... Summoning things?
no subject
I didn't think there would be books about it.
[Like, honestly, magic is so foreign to him that it hadn't entirely occurred to him to look for any kind of instruction manual. That and their hosts have been pretty on the ball about burying them in all kinds of relevant and not-so-relevant information so far.]
But that makes sense. Where do we find books?

[now that she thinks about it, it does seem a little odd that they'd limit their access to such useful items as strictly as they did. they must be harder to come by than she realizes.]
I'm sure someone has a book you can borrow, though. I can help you ask around, if you'd like.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, two heads are better than one. Thank you.
