[Genette has provided everyone a portion of mirror, which they're free to do whatever they want to with it BUT the idea is that they introduce themselves to the telepathy network with a video feed, showcasing their face. Otherwise, the coven might just get an endless stream of grass, sand or hut wall.

If you're willing to commit to the exercise, here is your intro log for doing so! Hold up the mirror piece, introduce yourself and receive a broadcast from your fellow mages.

No, but I thought I'd kill that theory right off the bat. Having an actual messed up sister is enough for me, don't need another one.

Hey - what the hell's wrong with your mirror?

I guess that makes sense... [judging by Qrow himself, his sister must be really off the rails--] Hm? Is there something wrong with it? It looks okay.

[It looks okay from his end. He sucks at this. A few moments later, the image steadies a bit, but isn't all that much clearer.]

You're kidding, right? You're coming up on my end as if someone censored your face. Fix that.

[ He looks like a bystander in one of those reality shows. ]

Reality...? [what are those, he grew up with no TV......] Is it not showing the right image?

[There's an eyebrow quirk and then a look of concentration that both get lost in the blur, and then the image shifts.... to the part of beach he's looking at. The beach itself looks pretty clear, so who knows why he's broadcasting people blobs. And now he actually is broadcasting the wrong thing, but maybe the beach view is more soothing.]

[ This punk is kind of a mess, huh. ]

Well - first, what image are you trying to show me? Say it, and then I'll tell you if it's right or not.

Okay then, quick question: are you the beach?

Huh?

[He is making the absolute strangest face at his mirror right now, too bad you can't see squat. It takes him a few moments to work out what Qrow's trying to say. He doesn't really bother complaining about the unhelpfulness, though. This is training, after all.]

Oh. This is harder than I thought. Or, it's hard because I thought-- never mind.

[Best not to go down the rabbithole of semantics. The image wavers a little, and then it's back to Lenka himself, brows scrunched in a look of concentration. It's a little bit clearer. Mostly he just looks way too constipated for someone trying to get his reflection to work.]

Oh, so you're not the beach. Good.

[ If this isn't completely weird, then it's at least mildly amusing right now. ]

I can see you clearer now. Well, I can see your eyebrows at least.

[ They're hard to miss with how big they are. ]

[One of said eyebrows quirks up a bit in response. Brows aside, the comment is a positive, so he'll take it.]

What happened to yours?

[Now that he isn't concentrating so hard on his own image, he notices the funny displacements in Qrow's from the cracks in his mirror.]

[ Oh yeah... Qrow kind of got used to his own, it makes sense that someone else would find it weird. You almost get the sense that Qrow has seen a lot of broken mirrors in his time. ]

[He's seen his share of strange sendings today, but he's not sure how to interpret this one?! Bit Cubist for him.]

Not particularly. Just something that happens.

[ Qrow spreads bad luck and misfortune wherever he goes, and he believes that uncontrollable power has followed him here. Truth is he just dropped the mirror because he got a little tipsy. ]

Not like it matters. This is a small colony we live in, you're bound to see my face eventually, whether you like it or not.

[Qrow...... Lenka is just going to accept that for all his criticism Qrow's sending is a little wonky himself. It's not like he can particularly help him with that, even if he knew what was going on. He's still focusing pretty hard on keeping his own image to... whatever standard is working right now.]

I guess it doesn't matter if we can recognize people from the image.

[So his must have been a real mess. This would be way easier if he could figure out how he was doing without having to bug other people. Oh well. Qrow did help some, despite everything, so:]
