Hello everyone! I hope that all of the new members are adjusting well and getting a hold on their magic. As you were informed earlier, we'll be leaving soon! Isn't it exciting? We'll be returning to the hub in a few days -- oh, many of you newer additions have never been. Feel free to ask questions about what it looks like and the living situation.

I'm mostly sending this little mental message to ask how everyone is doing with regards to collecting those magical bones Qri is asking for. I have about 30 that I have saved, and I'll pack them in with our things before we leave. Feel free to give yours to me and I'll keep them together for safe keeping.

Also, I'm always available if you need healing or to ask questions...to talk even!

Oh, Genette. Yeah, good reminder. Why does Qri want them again? Nobody mentioned.

I'm assuming, since they're very powerful magic centers, that she'll use them to replenish her energy source. That's essentially why we're all running roughshod across universes, after all.'

I could ask but my chances of an answer aren't guaranteed. It seems somewhat plain to me, anyway.

So is that what we were waiting for on this world? Is Qri the reason the Uvi blew themselves up? Or were we supposed to get them some other way if they hadn't?

These are all questions I'm not aware of. However, I don't think she'd purposefully blow them up. If she wanted to, she probably could have as soon as we got here. If she wanted to gather as many of these bones as possible, she probably has her ways.

If an action requires a lot of unnecessary energy, she won't do it. That can even include our lives being in danger. I've been in peril before, and without the help of Brie I may have died. She simply doesn't have the expendable energy.

This is just my thinking, though. So you can still come up with your own theories as what I'm saying isn't truly the gospel.

Okay. What I'm curious about is, what kind of energy does she need, exactly? If the Palai bones have it, what can we do to know what more of that is like, or make more? Bringing us here, then having us wait around until a whole bunch of people just happen to blow themselves up, is a stupid way to search for what she needs.

These are questions best asked to Qri directly -- which I know is impossible for you, but I simply can't tell you the answers. Not because I don't want to, but because I don't know them myself. She may have some sort of future-sight ability. This world in general has a very high magical frequency, enough so that she may be able to feed off of some of that residual energy alone. I just can't say. These are guesses.

I do know this. Some beings can utilize only one type of energy. Others can utilize multiple forms of energy. Qri is a being that can consume energy of many kinds. These are a large source of untapped energy, so it makes sense she would want to utilize them in an effort to replenish herself.

Is there any way we can talk to her, or at least get her to answer more questions through you? If we bring her a lot of energy, would she promise to answer some of this, through you at least? Or-- from what you know of her till now, will she still see that as a waste, unnecessary?

It's worth saying that if we know what we're supposed to be doing we can do it better, maybe even think of ideas she hasn't had yet. Bringing us here and keeping us in the dark doesn't make sense with what she wants us to do.

You can compile questions for me to ask -- she does know what you do here and is conscious somehow. But you may get better results when asked directly through me. I can't make any promises, however. She doesn't answer me a majority of the time I speak with her.

Please be aware that you're singing a song to the town minstrel. I want to go home and be done with this as badly as anyone. If I can somehow do my job better in any way, that is of course something I want to do both for her sake and my own.

I get that you're not happy about this either, but you're asking us to take Qri at her word when she's doing stuff that doesn't make sense, and as far as I can tell, you don't have the information to make you believe her either? So it's super weird to me that you do.

Have you or Brie ever disobeyed her? Has she ever done anything about it?

I haven't asked anything of you. It's not my place to. I'm charged with helping with healing and information, as ironic as you may find that, not asking favors. My beliefs are my beliefs, and you're allowed to do what you want -- I simply don't think defiance benefits myself or anyone else.

Magic doesn't exist in my world. Through Qri I have gained magic, I can speak to and understand others with meerly my mind, I've traveled across times and universes. I don't know what more proof I need that what I've been told is real. I also know that her powers are limited. It would be more beneficial for all of us if this process worked more quickly, but it does not because there is a need to generate more energy for her than she puts out. I believe that's why more members were gathered in the first place.

I have never disobeyed her. Brie has no benefit in disobeying her either. Do you believe that there is a better way to see whether or not we make strides towards our end goal?

Sure, Qri is asking, not you. I won't argue with that. Getting told to represent her is a hard job.

I do think there's probably a better way. Qri must think so too, or she wouldn't have changed what she was doing before. I'll accept that we don't know what it is yet. I just wish she'd tell more so we can figure it out.

Let's talk about something else for a second -- I was curious about one thing in your letter that never got explained. If I'm remembering right, you said our abilities let us invest energy into her. Is that just with stuff like the Eltos bones, or is it more directly too?

It's not a direct investment. Your magic enables you to help her and will always exist. For those without any magic, like myself, we would be next to useless without this magic and the magic of others around us. Even those WITH previous magic may not always be able to use it -- well, you read the letter, obviously, so you understand.

Sorry if that sounded more dramatic than it should have been, consider it poor wording.

I'm guessing you and Brie haven't made suggestions to her either, from how you reacted to me asking about a better way.

There hasn't been much to suggest. It was different when it was just two of us, but I think with more members comes a more pressing desire for a different managerial style.

Sounds like it. For one thing, having the job of being Qri's mouthpiece and no real power or knowledge has got to sting.

No, not at all. And in that case, I'm not sure what you mean happened to me back home. It was much more...normal than this, obviously.

I don't know anything about what you think is normal. If your job doesn't bug you at all with all of us here asking you questions, I don't understand what you're thinking even as much as I thought I did.

It's just that if you mean was I under the charge of a space witch and forced to communicate as her mouth piece with people from other worlds when I was where I'm from originally...no, absolutely not. If you mean something more vague or general, I'm not sure of what that would be.

Having to serve, and answer for your master, without all the facts.

My life revolves around servitude, yes. However, no -- I'm not used to living so in the dark like this, though I don't think I need to know everything in this situation.

Well... I hope none of us stay in the dark forever, necessary or not! Maybe if Qri gets stronger, it'll get better.
