Tell me about the weapons you use, and if you have a spare or something lying around. Or is easy to make.

[She definitely has an ulterior motive for this question seemingly born out of boredom, but whatever the case might be, she certainly hopes for some good answers.]

I understand you want to help but you're still young. You can leave the job of protecting others to older members of the coven. Maybe you can use your magic to help in other ways.

[There's an ounce of defensiveness to her tone now, unable to make proper sense of Jude's concerns.]

Don't worry too much about me, Jude. I'm a big girl now, and Daddy wouldn't have sent me off on an important mission if I weren't ready for it.

I use a bow. They're fairly easy to make once you get right down to it, but making a long-lasting, effective one is another beast entirely.

How is it different from a normal one?

[She's only ever seen those in picture books, and they certainly didn't go into the fine art of making them.]

A hunting bow understands that it will only be carried and used for hunts of prey. To take an effective bow into combat where you'll face magic, claws, teeth and so many other things all while firing as quickly and aggressively as possible requires some hefty modifications and treatment of the wood.

Tragic as it is, this sword is the last of his work left to us. You're probably going to need to search other worlds to discover new legendary katanas.

You could start practicing with a basic, non-legendary one while you looked. Maybe the legendary one will come to you when you're ready for it.

I know it doesn't seem fair but when people are working together in a group, everyone has different roles that needs to be fulfilled. Fighting isn't the only thing that's important! Things like finding food or helping injured people are crucial too. Do you think you can help with something like that instead?
