Hey.
[It takes a little while for Elle to figure out the communication system here, but after a few more moments of trial and error, she thinks she's got it, and her voice that definitely betrays her age comes up the network of a kind.]
Tell me about the weapons you use, and if you have a spare or something lying around. Or is easy to make.
[She definitely has an ulterior motive for this question seemingly born out of boredom, but whatever the case might be, she certainly hopes for some good answers.]

[His thoughts kinda trail off into nebulous fumbling for terms. Sure, he can use it well enough, but he's not exactly an expert in weapon design. There's an almost haggard grumble of thought-- time to give himself another headache.]
Hang on a sec, I'll show you.
[At least he's getting a bit better on this whole sending-mental-pictures thing, even if it felt like a nail in his skull afterward. After a few seconds of staring at his weapon in hand, a nice little image trickles into Elle's mind.]
ow.

Telepathic wonders aside, she doesn't bother suppressing an awed "ooh", and more:]
That's really cool! But... how d'you get the thing to work?
[It... looks really complicated, to say the least of it. Alvin uses something like that, she remembers, but it was two separate weapons at the time.]

Actually USIN' it is pretty simple. Just point, pull the trigger, and the blast goes right down the blade-- whatever's in front of you get a nice, big jolt of electricity. You can see the cylinder up top and the trigger at the bottom.
Only got one, though, sorry. And I don't think you could just find the parts layin' around.
I've got an axe if you want one'a those, though. Slightly used.

[Most of the explanation surprisingly doesn't fly over Elle's head, which is why it's hard for her to keep her disappointment down when he tells her there's only one of the thing. But upon the mention of another weapon--and a spare one she might be able to use, she lightens up considerably.]
Yeah, I think an axe might be OK.
[It's not a hammer, but it's close enough, she thinks.]

but at least she wasn't entirely out of options, either.]
I was usin' it to cut down trees before. It's good and sturdy. Handle's made of wood, but you could probably make a new one outta metal easy enough.
Don't suppose you got some kinda magic that's useful for fightin'?

[It still boggles the mind whenever she sees the others fussing over weapons in various towns and what not. As long as it properly slices and dices and smashes and shoots the monsters, she doesn't see why they couldn't just stick with what they have.]
And erm... I still don't know yet. But Genette said my power's for protecting people, so I thought I'd start getting used to weapons and stuff. Since there's not much else I could do with it.

[But the thought of needing to use weapons... y'know, that was actually a little bit depressing. Still, protection didn't sound too bad.]
Hey, maybe that just means you'll never HAVE to fight, right?
no subject
What do you mean by that?

[A small pause in his train of thought.]
...Then again, all the new magic seems kinda flaky. Maybe the axe would be a good idea. Is there anythin' you're used to using?
