Tell me about the weapons you use, and if you have a spare or something lying around. Or is easy to make.

[She definitely has an ulterior motive for this question seemingly born out of boredom, but whatever the case might be, she certainly hopes for some good answers.]

[His thoughts kinda trail off into nebulous fumbling for terms. Sure, he can use it well enough, but he's not exactly an expert in weapon design. There's an almost haggard grumble of thought-- time to give himself another headache.]

[At least he's getting a bit better on this whole sending-mental-pictures thing, even if it felt like a nail in his skull afterward. After a few seconds of staring at his weapon in hand, a nice little image trickles into Elle's mind.]

I'm using knives, personally. Unfortunately, my primary weapons got lost, so they're all I have. Are you looking for something in particular? If you are looking, that is.

[ It's just a guess and he's not sure where it'll take him, but it shouldn't hurt to ask. ]

[Nazuna comes from a (relatively) peaceful place so having a little girl's voice in his head asking about weapons is kind of a shock. Despite already knowing that being here can be a bit dangerous, he firmly believes there are certain things children should not have to worry about.]

A-aren't you a bit young for weapons?

[Dirk, who absolutely is sure that an eight year old is old enough to be handling weapons, says,]

A katana. We might have some weapons left over from the ones we made in the fight against the Uvi. One of our coven members can make them on high frequency worlds and made a few there.

What weapons do you know how to use?

I've got a large sword, combat bracers, and a spear. Used to have a lighter sword but I loaned that to Sir Flynn since he didn't have his.

If you want, I could make something that's easier for you to wield, since my weapons are pretty big even for me. Did you have something in mind?

Hmmmm. How old are you, exactly? A girl your age shouldn't be playing with weapons, you know.

[Give her a second or two or more to calm down her wonder and amazement at the weapon and wait... is that an image in her head?

Telepathic wonders aside, she doesn't bother suppressing an awed "ooh", and more:]

That's really cool! But... how d'you get the thing to work?

[It... looks really complicated, to say the least of it. Alvin uses something like that, she remembers, but it was two separate weapons at the time.]

Huh, OK...

[She thinks hard on that for a while before she responds.]

Maybe dual blades or something?

[Shh, she's totally not thinking of one certain person from back home.]

Nope! I'm already eight years old! [Not really helping her point, but it feels old enough to her.] And all my other friends use them too!

[Friends who are all older than her by a good few years, but semantics.]

[He's assuming they're around her age. If only he could find these friends and shake some sense into them too.]

And I don't know how to use any, which is why I'm asking. Jude's gonna teach me martial arts but I wanna learn more too and be like Ludger!

[She's not too happy about the tone Jude's taking with her, to say the least of it. Given that such things signal an impending lecture.]

Those all sound super cool! I think I wanna start with uhh, dual blades, guns, and hammers! And I'm totally fine with adult-sized weapons! My big self can handle those!

Eight. [She doesn't sound happy about this person's words either.] So what?

[It's a neat trick to send an image from one mind to another, sure-- Red just wished he didn't end up with headaches every time he did it. At least talking about his sword didn't make his head hurt.]

Actually USIN' it is pretty simple. Just point, pull the trigger, and the blast goes right down the blade-- whatever's in front of you get a nice, big jolt of electricity. You can see the cylinder up top and the trigger at the bottom.

Only got one, though, sorry. And I don't think you could just find the parts layin' around.

I've got an axe if you want one'a those, though. Slightly used.

I don't think so! And Ludger and Jude and the others probably won't agree with that.

[Since they uhh. Kinda need those for jobs and what not.]

[Most of the explanation surprisingly doesn't fly over Elle's head, which is why it's hard for her to keep her disappointment down when he tells her there's only one of the thing. But upon the mention of another weapon--and a spare one she might be able to use, she lightens up considerably.]

Yeah, I think an axe might be OK.

[It's not a hammer, but it's close enough, she thinks.]

Yeah! My power is that I transform into a pretty big adult.

[Who is still more or less of an average height, but is damn plenty tall for a shorty and a kid like Elle.]

I've never used them before, but I think I can pick them up when transformed.

[It's strange to imagine such things just get distributed like party favors, and yet it seems they really do]

Do you want a hand learning to use them then?
