Tell me about the weapons you use, and if you have a spare or something lying around. Or is easy to make.

[She definitely has an ulterior motive for this question seemingly born out of boredom, but whatever the case might be, she certainly hopes for some good answers.]

8?! That is definitely too young! Maybe your friends shouldn't be using weapons either.

[He's assuming they're around her age. If only he could find these friends and shake some sense into them too.]

I don't think so! And Ludger and Jude and the others probably won't agree with that.

[Since they uhh. Kinda need those for jobs and what not.]

Is it normal in your world for small children to have weapons? That's... that's kind of sad.

Ludger and Jude aren't small. But Elize is and she's allowed them.

[Not quite connecting yet that she's not operating on the same wavelength as Nazuna.]

Well, small or not, weapons aren't meant for children. They're dangerous. That's why I don't think you should be asking for one.

[Nazuna's still imagining a group of kids running around with weapons. Even if some of them aren't as small as Elle, that doesn't make it any better.]

But I need them to be able to protect others! Genette said my power's for that purpose too!

[She sounds a little agitated now, if a bit passionate about the idea.]

I understand you want to help but you're still young. You can leave the job of protecting others to older members of the coven. Maybe you can use your magic to help in other ways.

[He doesn't mention that people who are older are probably not better off with the whole fighting and protecting thing. He just doesn't want someone so young to have that burden.]

[She's not too happy with that response, given it reminds her of a certain person who says something similar time and again.]

Why should I leave it to them when I've been given powers too? It's not fair!

[Nazuna can tell she's not too happy but he tries to convince her anyway, speaking in same soft tone he uses for the younger members of Ra*bits when they're upset.]

I know it doesn't seem fair but when people are working together in a group, everyone has different roles that needs to be fulfilled. Fighting isn't the only thing that's important! Things like finding food or helping injured people are crucial too. Do you think you can help with something like that instead?

[Something about his tone causes her to deflate slightly, and while she's still pouty about this, she sounds a little more uncertain about her train of thought.]

I dunno... Jude said the same thing but it doesn't feel the same...

It doesn't but sometimes you just have to stick within your own limits. I mean, I guess there's nothing wrong if you want to practice while under adult supervision to build up some experience but no one is going to be happy to let you fight right away. So for now, do you think the two of us can come up with another way you can help? What's your magic?
