voice.
( Let's not discuss the details of how...this...happened too much. It's not like Cinnabar to be clumsy or careless, but somehow that's what has lead him from Point A to Point D -- D is for Disaster.
He hit a few choice rocks pretty hard, and now he's got one of his arms in his hand. The loss of a limb has left him pretty dazed and confused with a chunk of his memories gone. Otherwise, he might have the forethought to ask for glue or something. Not for help since he certainly wouldn't need it! But the jumbled space where his memories should be is what leads to the simple, accidental telepathic message: )
Oh. My arm came off.
( That's, uh...pretty concerning if you don't know he's a red rock person thing. )

[She's pretty sure she recognizes the voice, but it's best to make sure.]
I am not sure I have glue, although I could try looking for some.

( It's fruitless to think too hard about it when he knows if it's not there, it's in the inclusions in his limb. It's a little melancholy...he doesn't like not being in control of his knowledge of people and things. )
I won't ask you to. If you want to do that on your own...I won't stop you.

[But . . . hmm, it does seem like? Someone missing an arm is something she should get involved with? Also, this whole situation is kind of hilarious.]
I will see if anyone in Can Town has glue.

Can Town? Is that where I am? Near there?

Suddenly Cinnabar wishes he had a cave to crawl back into. )

You are very far from Can Town. Are you talking to anyone else? It may be easier for them to reach you. [A pause.] Also, Jade says we do not have glue, although it may be possible for us to make some.

A few people...there are a lot of voices. Even if it doesn't get reattached, it's not the end of the world.

If there are people nearby, I suggest shouting something like HELP HELP MY ARM FELL OFF to get their attention. Maybe one of them will have glue.

I still have legs...I can walk someplace, I just don't know where this is. Or where to go...
( Because he's certainly not screaming and looking like an idiot. )

You are on the eastern side of the island. [A pause. Do gems know what east and west are? Oh, right, he mentioned the ocean.] I would take your arm and walk west, away from the ocean, until you come across a lot of small houses or one big one. There should be people in one of those places who you can ask for glue.
[They might be alarmed to see a giant gem creature holding its own arm, but oh, well.]

Okay. I can do that. ( He doesn't mean to come off as helpless as he does, but this is all mental -- not something he's thinking about and choosing to speak into reality. It's a lot more vulnerable, not having that barrier to protect you.
It's hard to admit that this voice is nice, even if he doesn't remember any Terezi. ) So I know you? How?

...That's good, I guess. ( Even though he remembers literally nothing about a mansion (what even is that), the storm or water being consumed by some creature. ) What do you look like?
( Since he doesn't know, he wants to fill in that gap. And if he reaches this place with houses, maybe he'll be able to recognize her. )

[She sends over a telepathic image, minus the little Namco High MC on the left.]
And I am a troll, since I know you are going to ask.

I guess I'll skip all the obvious stuff since I'm sure we already covered it. How much do you know about me?
( Since she didn't seem too concerned about his limb being missing and all. )

( Thankfully he's used to scouting and rocky surfaces (although not enough, apparently, to navigate craggy rocks that are very slippery). It's a pain to scale them while being careful and carrying your arm, but not impossible. )
What the hell was I doing climbing all over these stupid rocks!?
