Hello! I hope everyone's doing all right now that we're back here on the island.

Um. Sorry if this is a weird question, but ... if you're an experienced fighter, what sort of training do you do that helps you out the most? The sort of thing that maybe a beginner could pick up on easily?

[beginner isn't really the right word for Madoka. but with her usual abilities out of reach, floating along with wherever the high frequency is, and with only a bow that's older than she is to use as a weapon, she's not that many steps ahead of one. does that make her a novice? first class? junior hero?]

It couldn't hurt to have that information out there, anyway. For the people who didn't do any fighting back home.

I guess I haven't thought it through that far...

What kind of weapon do you think would be easy to use? Learning to fight well usually takes years, and even then, if the enemy is flying or has superhuman strength then there's still nothing I can do.

Mmm, well ... Would you rather defend yourself from a distance, or up close?

Thinking about it logically, from a distance is better, right? Fighting hand to hand is way more dangerous.

I think so! I use a bow, actually ... I only have one, but I'd be happy to show you how to use it, if you'd like?

That sounds great! Even without any experience, I could probably learn to use something like a bow, right?

I think so! It took me a lot of practice before I could trust my aim, but the basics weren't that hard to learn at all.

Maybe tomorrow. I'd like at least a couple days to relax between being in the world of flying monster invasions and learning how to fight.
