Hey guys, can you hear me?
[YoRHa unit 9S, forever uncertain as to whether he's thinking at people properly]
I just wanted to let you know that 2B and I are doing renovations on that old house on the western side of the island. At the moment there's no water or electricity so it's probably not the most hospitable for humans...
But once it's in working order, this'll give us an outpost in this area.
Also we were discussing some hands-free lights for working in the dark. Devices like that would come in handy, right? Are there any other types of equipment you could use? Seems like during our downtime, that's something to work on. Maybe we can also establish what resources we've got at our disposal, too. We're a team and all, right?
[Now that they're not dealing with invading hostiles, it seems to him it's time to put his technical skills to work]
[ooc: Feel free to thread-hop/jack, let's get geared up]

It'd never hurt to have more metal, if we can find any around here. Seems like we're still feeling out what kind of resources we've got access to.

[something about what 9S said that's been nagging at him finally catches up to his brain...]
--wait, did you say you knew 2B?
no subject
[But with that said—]
That's right, we're partners. Both YoRHa—er, soldiers, that is.

[he's full of admiration for 2B!!]

Yeah, she's the best.
You're better off surprising her though... Otherwise you'll get into some repayment feedback-loop.

[thoroughly distracted from the point of this telepathy conversation, but at least it's a cute distraction?]
no subject
Although...personally, I think she'd like anything someone did with her in mind. She's a kind person but she doesn't think of herself as much as she could. That type, you know?
[The best kind of distraction]

[it would probably help if he understood androids...]
Does she like eating anything besides fish?
no subject
[Although they're pretty useful to ride for faster travel]
But never mackerel. There's this chemical reaction that uh. Well. Turns our blood to sludge and we're goners at that point.

. . . um, that isn't a normal human thing, is it?
[he's-- he's pretty sure humans can eat fish without worrying about blood sludge? surely, Vern would have mentioned it?]

[There's just all sorts of other things that can make them sick]

[there's rueful amusement in his tone. Geir's getting very used to being baffled about members of the coven, or the coven's circumstances in general.]
no subject
[Hopefully Geir doesn't think he's some magical clay monster like one girl did]
no subject
[his understanding of the term is extremely limited to what Souda explained to him about conventional machinery, but he's trying.]
no subject
Those're component parts, yeah. And circuitry's a pretty big deal in more sophisticated designs, like me or 2B.
no subject
[baffled, but willing to accept the assertion... wow. people who are made of metal? that's even crazier than any of the dwarven inventions, after all.]
no subject
[9S considers it lucky anytime someone doesn't tell him he's impossible or call him something else entirely here]

What's your name, so I can find you again?
no subject
Or my friends call me Nines.
no subject
[the shock in his tone is clear; Geir wasn't aware discussion of friendship was on the table.]
no subject
[He's been friended for less, but he was equally surprised by it]
