I just wanted to let you know that 2B and I are doing renovations on that old house on the western side of the island. At the moment there's no water or electricity so it's probably not the most hospitable for humans...

But once it's in working order, this'll give us an outpost in this area.

Also we were discussing some hands-free lights for working in the dark. Devices like that would come in handy, right? Are there any other types of equipment you could use? Seems like during our downtime, that's something to work on. Maybe we can also establish what resources we've got at our disposal, too. We're a team and all, right?

Yeah, housewarming. It's when someone brings a gift to help celebrate someone moving in to a new home. People usually give each other items that can be used to decorate or furnish with.

[For once Nike was glad to be given the chance to explain something to Nines when he is usually the one in charge of teaching her new things. Like about machinery and gadgets.

Which he was now explaining to her, even when she doesn't understand most of it, but she does get the gist of it. The Palai world had technology too, didn't it?]

Um, I have thirty or so already made. Half of them are for singles while another half are for a pair to use. I have another eight that are in the middle of being made. I'm waiting for the paper and glue to dry. Oh! I'm on the hunt for all types of fruits that are as big as an apple or orange. I'll need them to make a special coating for the umbrellas that'll help repel water and hardened its cover too. It may be useful to those that don't have something to defend themselves with and all.

Oh, I see... This place seems like it's furnished already, although one of the bedrooms looks sort of weird.

I think I can handle it, but if you wanted to work on these together or something, I think it's more fun with company. But what's the difference between single umbrella and couple umbrellas?

You can use fruits for something like that?

I think so too! We'll be able to get a lot done too in a short amount of time. [As for his question.] The couple umbrellas are bigger than the single ones. It helps fit more than one person and are usually more durable than the single style too.

[Since the couple style was bigger, it was heavier, especially with the fermented fruit juice.]

Of course! It's very useful in my country. We use it to preserve food with it and improve the growth of fruits and vegetables. But my family found another way to use it in way of preserving items too. It works really well with our umbrellas, for one!

[Since it can be transformed into a durable shield or weapon, in which the royal family was proud to have figured out since the rain they summon was different to natural rain -- only that umbrellas can repel the rain water when other umbrellas get entirely trashed by it.]

I can't figure out its functional purpose. The way it's furnished just seems a little weird. There's a bed so it has to be a bedroom, right?

Could you tell me how the process works, when we get started on that? I've never heard of using those sorts of methods before.

Could it be the bedroom is decorated in a unique way or may be outdated? I know you're kinda from a future version of Earth, aren't you? I wouldn't be surprise if there are very limited info about really old stuff and all.

I'll try! I do admit I may not be the best one to explain it. Kara-nee would be the expert of us four sisters, but I can just repeat the explanations she gave to me!

[Which shouldn't be too hard to remember, she'll just need to make absolute certain the keywords are correctly used, but knowing Nines he may just figure it out and correct her. She wasn't the most intelligent of the royal family, but she did have better memory retaining skills than any of them. Along with feeling the most curious too because...]

But, it's kinda interesting to know you don't use those methods any more. Don't you and your kind eat?
