Okay, let’s begin! This is an important message out for everyone to hear. Please listen up! This could be a good way to practice this new way of communication for those not used to it yet!

[Speaks up the resident ex-telepath and environmental sensor of her world. She has been listening to a lot of the new voices in the area. No worries she has been ignoring those revealing secrets or daydreams or what have you.]

My name is Nike. I’ve been in this adventure to other worlds for a good while now. I bet there’s a lot of questions and concerns many of you have. The whole thing can be pretty bewildering for those not used to world-hopping or living in areas that aren’t as natural as this one. That’s why we’re gonna try to help everyone as best as we can. Like securing everyone’s next meals since, well, we can’t expect our hosts to always feed us or to ration the food stuff they first give to you since it’s difficult to determine how long we’ll be here for. Um, I think our resident leader is here too. Actually, he’s next to me right now. Do you wanna take the reins?

[There is a choking noise at 'resident leader'. Jay recovers quickly enough, though. No promises about not listening to your revealing secrets.]

Right. I've talked to a few of you about this already, but what we'd like to do is set up groups for hunting, fishing, and scavenging or gathering. We're looking for people who have experience with those skills and are willing to teach them to others--or people who want to learn from their fellow coven members. Those of you with particular expertise may be asked to lead a group.

That’s right! This is all a volunteer service as well. We know not everyone is cut out to be a teacher or leader, so we’re asking for those with these skills to speak up to help form a group to specialize in these specific areas. The more people we have, the easier it’ll be to gather enough food for everyone in the coven. We understand there are those that don’t have any survival skills and many of you are new -- we want to help you to better adjust to your situation before having you join or do anything. Our goal is basically to help everyone remain healthy.

[While helping create a sense of unity which all is pretty much hinted.]

Also, we kinda want to figure out the current population of our members are too. Gotta know the size to figure out what would be a fair amount of resources to gather and share. Jay is in charge of that area. Since he’s been doing that stuff from the very beginning. Let him know if you don’t have any survival skills and/or if there’s an area you wish to learn. All those with any of the survival skills we’ve already mentioned that would like to volunteer, let me know! From there we’ll try to organize all of the data and have the group leaders give out the rest of the details.

I'd like to help! I'm not experienced in hunting or fishing but my magic is pretty useful for catching small animals. If you need me to learn normal ways of finding food I can do that too!

It's controlling animals! I already sometimes catch fish when Genette needs me to so being part of an organized group for it won't a big deal.

That's an interesting power. Does it only work on small animals? Have you tried it on the boars here, for example?

I've tried only once and it didn't really work. Not sure if it's because I need more practice but I haven't tried again.

[Boars can be scary, okay and he's only a simple idol.]

If you wanted to try again, I could probably arrange to have some combatants accompany you, just in case . . . either way, however, I'm sure you'd do well in the fishing group. Thank you for volunteering.

Yeah! If you can have someone help me then I don't mind trying again. And no problem! We're all stuck here together so I need to do my part to help out.

I'm Nazuna. Sitting around moping about what happened isn't useful for anyone so I don't want to do that. Besides, I've been here for about a month already.

It's good to meet you, then, Nazuna. You're right that being upset won't do us much good in the long run, although I can hardly blame anyone who had trouble adjusting when they first arrived.

Yeah! It can definitely be tough. That's also why I don't mind working extra hard if I can help make it easier for someone else.

I'm still waiting for people to sign up, but I expect we'll put you in the fishing group, and we can test your powers in the company of the hunting group. Is there anything else you'd like to do or learn?

You also mentioned you needed gatherers, right? While it makes sense for me to go into the fishing or hunting group because it looks like I'll be most helpful there, I don't mind learning some basics about gathering just to get a skill set that lets me be more flexible. That way, I can hop over if a group is short on hands or something.

That's the spirit! I'm so glad you mention the use of powers. I didn't really consider it as we were discussing about this over at the hanging out thing Genette got us to do a few nights ago.

Even though you can't fish or hunt, I think we have a spot for you in those areas. Are you interested in learning to make traps? Unless you know how to fight already? Cause I think I have an idea on how to use your powers for trap making as well as fishing.

I'm willing to learn anything! I don't know how to fight though, so if that was needed, sorry.

No, it isn't. I was just curious to see if you knew any form of self-defense. If not, that's fine!

It just makes me want to use you more and more to attract small critters into nearby traps. Like rabbit-size, mainly. I don't really want to throw you at the boars until you learn how to read their intentions and know how to react towards them in any given situation. I know that will be something I'll have to discuss with whoever is in charge of teaching those to hunt to add into the training.

I should be able to handle catching rabbit-sized things! Also since you mentioned it, I probably should be looking into learning self-defense too though, huh. There wasn't really a need to know that kinda stuff where I was from so I never really thought about it.

Learning self-defense is a really good idea! You never know what type of world or situation we'll encounter next. I think everyone can benefit from it.

But if you don't mind me asking, what kind of world did you come from? Did you live in the city or capital perhaps? I know a couple of people are from a place called Jampan or something like that.

Not sure if you mean Japan, but that's where I'm from. It's pretty peaceful there so other than learning self-defense as a hobby there's really no need for it. Being here is completely different!

Right! Japon! That place. There's a few of you from that very place. I've been told basically the same thing. About it being pretty peaceful and having its own law enforcement protecting all class of citizens, not just the high class or nobility.

[Detectives and police, if she remembers the words correctly. Not to mention everyone is expected to go to school and university, and anyone can set up their own business without much issue.]

Have you decided on the type of self defense you'll like to learn? I know we have a few warriors with different kinds of weapons or styles of fighting. Personally, I'm pretty good in street brawling or throwing projectiles at someone. Like knives or darts, mainly.

I haven't really thought of what type I'd like to learn. Hmmm... learning some type of weapons sounds cool but the problem would be actually finding weapons to use, right? I'm probably not suited for hand-to-hand but that's probably the best bet for now.

Just like there are all types of fighting styles, there's also all types of weapons too. By the sound of it, you may like range weapons. Are you good with swinging for long periods of time? Or moving really fast?

Even though we are limited on weapons, I can ask around to see if anyone has the power to create stuff. I know Nines can create anything he sets his mind to!

I might not be able to fight but I can handle swinging and moving really fast! I'm an idol so we have to train our movements, after all. If you think I'd be suited for ranged weapons, I don't mind trying them out!

That sounds like a good idea! Not just for me, but for the coven as a whole if we have someone to can make things.
