Um, hello? Ah, um, pardon my interloping in your thoughts here but, ummm... I believe we've found the source of that frightful cloudburst we've been having. It appears those ornery blue fiends are causing quite the brouhaha from their literal cooler. They seem a mite bit peeved.

[A beat.]

I, um— I don't have any suggestions, I just— I thought everyone should know.

[Another pause.]

Tell me about it. It was really hard to shake them off once you have their attention. There were moments I wanted to use the wind to do more than destroy their weapons.

[The idea of using her powers to kill or inflict injuries was not on her list of priorities. Not after promising her grandmother she'll never abuse her power, no matter what.]

...I'm glad to hear you say that though. Your interest in wanting to understand them. Has anyone tried to do it yet?

I don't know. I heartell they're clever but still animals, meaning I'm not so sure how shooting the breeze with them would go. But, um, I had the thought— I'm not sure how it would work? But I had the thought, um, if we could maybe hook one of them up with that telepathy signet we've got? And then talk like that?

[drizzle]

Do you think it'd work on them too? The thing connecting us? Because it's an interesting idea. I wouldn't mind wanting to get the chance to talk to them.

How would you accomplish? Are you thinking of asking the girl that gave us the letter?

I was thinking that, yeah! I'm not sure if it would work on them...? But I mean, it's an idea, right? And if we could talk to them, maybe we could work something out between them and the Palai.

Hey, any idea are usually good ones. At a time like this, especially, we don't have any room to be picky.

I want to leave this world knowing there was some type of resolution we can all agree with too.

With that in mind, do you need any help finding that lady? Or with anything at all?

Me too. Um, that I want to leave here knowing things have the best chance of working out. But, um... if you're offering to help, I'd appreciate it! Even though they're in a similar spot as us, well, they're a bit intimidating to me.
