( ett • voice & video )
( At first there's not a video feed, just a very simple yet disgruntled question: )
Does anyone around here know how to knit? I feel like I have to be missing something.
( In an effort to illustrate the point, there's suddenly a telepathic video stream attached, showcasing what appears to be a muddled ball of yarn; someone may or may not have resorted to trying to rub or melt it together because knitting is obviously just some type of witchcraft.
Hands attempt to pull it apart to showcase the expert craftsmanship that went into this mess -- there's also the sound of rain, as well as a small voice in the background that keeps shouting FUCK! over and over again with varied levels of intensity. The culprit is a chubby Elto baby that's crawling around just out of sight, a thick stick grasped firmly in their hand. )
Lisko! No bad words! -- Regardless, I have a suspicion that the problem is more so with the type of...materials...since they don't want to stick together no matter what I do.
( Or Emil's just an idiot, which is only somewhat more likely. )

( Those are his drunk, overly wordy thoughts on the matter. ) Imagine having to stay in this hut forever -- two grown men and then a huge lizard alien. We'd be living on top of each other all day, every day. It's ridiculous to even think about!
no subject
We don't, though. We go outside, and the coven goes to other worlds, and we'll go home one day.
no subject
It was rhetorical -- I'm sure we won't be trapped here forever. This level of space just isn't sustainable for long periods of time, no matter where you are.
( As an answer to a question misunderstood, Emil gets more comfortable, totally unbothered by this makeshift cuddlepile. At least everyone being smooshed together makes the cramped hut in question appear bigger. None of these things matter to Lisko, who switches between papping all three of them while gurgling nonsense syllables. You'll get there one day, baby lizard. )
no subject
...I guess I wouldn't know if you complained about this in the tank.
no subject
( Like...would anyone WANT to live with six people in one small area?? )
I grumbled about it to myself when it got frustrating.,, At least all of us aren't in this damned hut.

[But if Tuuri had been here, in this even smaller space, and everyone could understand each other, and you could speak without speaking... He wonders if he would have known. If he could have kept her close in his sights so she couldn't... Hn.]

God, Reynir.
Totally ignorant of Lalli's new line of thought, Emil sighs, half-contented and half-bleary. )
Sometimes I'm glad those others aren't here. I don't feel particularly bad about it either. I like Sigrun well enough, but it would be such a hassle to have to be with them even more...do you understand? ( It's not a relief at their not being abducted, but more like a..."thank god my coworkers aren't here because your shit gets really old really quick" feeling. ) It would be great to be back to get the mission over with and be home, but I can't say I'm upset with their absence here.
no subject
Yeah... I'm glad it's you. I don't want them here, and I don't...think I want Onni here, either.
no subject
Onni...what's he like? Your other cousin. ( It's somewhat mysterious to him...on one hand, he certainly wouldn't want his family forced to go worldhopping with him, but that's more for their sake than his feelings about his crew members. Which is what Lalli feels for Onni? )
no subject
Crybaby.
[SWIG]
no subject
If that all? He sounds like a real character, then. ( Emil knows what Onni looks like, but all he can think about is a tall version of Lalli who's just sniffling all the time.
The stupid laughter continues; holy shit that's an image, alright. )
no subject
Mm. I guess so. He's just Onni.
no subject
Emil looks like he's going to respond to him, but instead he can't get the words out. Everything he's thinking is just so funny. The kind of laughter that you don't get because whatever it is isn't that hilarious, but you can't control yourself for whatever reason.
The lizard between them is just as confused, papping at their dad that's covering his face and trying not to loudly laugh in the tiny hut. Are you okay dad,?? fuckin breathe you dipshit! )
no subject
I didn't tell any jokes, you weird Swede.
no subject
I don't think I've ever heard you tell a joke. Can you? ( LALLI THE COMEDIAN IS KILLING HIM INSIDE )
no subject
How...do you tell when a Finn is an extrovert? [He waits a beat, but not enough that he's got comedic timing. He only sort of understands this joke, anyway. It's kinda dumb.] He will stare at your shoes when he's talking to you instead of his.
[Yep, this has been Lalli with Old World Humor.]
no subject
That was horrible.
no subject
[Fact.]
A lot of them are about drinking. Maybe I should have told that one...
[The other single joke he remembers.]
no subject
Tell me that one, too! ( He needs a top up, the giggling is leaving him. )
no subject
I only drink on days of the week that start with T. Tuesday, Thursday, and Today.
no subject
( Despite his protests, Emil laughs even harder, unable to hold it back at all. Lalli trying to tell jokes is the best thing in the world right now because it's so not like him. His eyes are leaking, help him. )
no subject
Then why are you still laughing...
[This time, though, he's got a small uptick in the corner of his mouth and he nudges Emil with his elbow. You weirdo!!!]
no subject
( Damn you, Lalli!!! Why do you keep becoming more and more likable!!!!! )
no subject
I'm surprising...
[He's kind of...stunned by this line. He's surprising? What kind of person is Emil to be surprised and delighted by Lalli doing something he isn't used to...
Weird. But as weird as it is, he still has a nice smile and voice.]
I think you are just drunk.
[LET'S AVOID THE PUZZLE.]
no subject
Oh. Huh. ) Maybe? ...Probably.
